Warranty & Support
Genuine stock. Correct regional models. Manufacturer warranty on every eligible item.
This page does not limit or exclude your statutory rights.
1) Your statutory rights
UK (Consumer Rights Act 2015): You have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund. After 30 days, the retailer must offer a repair or replacement; if that is impossible or unsuccessful, a price reduction or refund may apply. Within the first 6 months, faults are presumed to have been present at delivery unless proven otherwise. These rights apply regardless of any manufacturer warranty.
EU/EEA (Directive (EU) 2019/771): Minimum 2-year legal guarantee against lack of conformity. Primary remedies are repair or replacement; otherwise, price reduction or refund.
2) Manufacturer warranties (what we provide)
- We supply genuine, region-correct models sourced from authorised channels. Manufacturer warranties are honoured in the product’s intended service region unless the brand explicitly offers international coverage.
- Typically covered: manufacturing defects and electronic failures in normal use. Not covered: accidental/liquid damage, misuse or unauthorised repair, software modifications (root/jailbreak), cosmetic wear, and consumables (e.g., normal battery capacity fade).
- Brand terms govern the exact coverage and process.
3) DOA / early-life failures
If your item arrives DOA or develops a fault within 14 days of delivery, contact us with order number, serial/IMEI and a fault description (photo/video if relevant). We will triage promptly and arrange a suitable swap / repair / return-to-base, in parallel with your statutory remedies.
4) How to make a warranty claim
- Open a ticket: support@remotebox.co.uk (order #, serial/IMEI, photos/video).
- Troubleshooting: we run basic checks to rule out setup/software issues.
- Routing: in the first 30 days (UK) / early phase (EU) we may handle directly; beyond that we guide you to authorised service or issue an RMA, per brand policy. Returns without an RMA will still be processed but may be delayed.
- Outcome: repair or replacement; if repair can’t be completed in a reasonable time, escalation to replacement or refund may apply per local law and brand policy.
Back up data and remove account locks (Apple ID/Find My, Google FRP, passcodes) before service.
5) Brand specifics (indicative links)
Warranty terms are set by each manufacturer and may vary by model/region. Check the official policy for your serial/IMEI:
- Apple: One-Year Limited Warranty — Official terms (EMEA)
- Samsung (UK): Warranty info — Support page; 5-year promo (selected appliances) — Terms
- DJI: DJI Care Refresh — Program (IWS available on select models; see FAQ)
- ASUS: International Warranty Service — FAQ
- Lenovo: Warranty lookup & upgrades — Support
- Microsoft Surface: Warranty & service — Support
- HP (UK): Limited warranty — Terms; check status — Tool
- Canon (EU): European Warranty System — EWS
- Nintendo (UK): Warranty docs — Support
Coverage is generally provided in the intended service region of the product unless the brand explicitly offers international service.
6) Returns vs. warranty (change of mind)
Distance-selling rules may allow cancellation within 14 days of delivery (UK CCR / EU 2011/83). You may handle goods as in a shop; if handling goes beyond that, a deduction for diminished value may apply. The standard outbound delivery cost (if paid) is refundable. See our Returns & Refunds for full details.
7) Refunds & timing (distance returns)
- Refund to the original payment method within 14 calendar days of either receiving the goods back or receiving evidence of return — whichever is earlier.
- If we agreed to collect the goods, the refund is due within 14 days of your cancellation notice.
