Terms & Conditions (UK + EU)

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the REMOTEBOX website and your consumer purchases in the UK and EU/EEA.

1. About Us

“REMOTEBOX.co.uk”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to GRAY BELL LTD (trading as REMOTEBOX).

  • Registered address: 20 Church Road, Wisbech, England, PE13 3RA, UK.
  • Company No: 15436805 ·
  • Contact: legal@remotebox.co.uk

2. Scope & Eligibility

We sell to consumers for domestic/personal use within the UK and EU/EEA. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Purchases for resale or commercial use are not permitted under these Terms; business purchases require a separate written agreement. Nothing here affects mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

3. Placing Orders & Contract Formation

Your order is an offer to buy. We email an Order Acknowledgement after checkout; a contract forms only when we send a Dispatch Confirmation or deliver the goods.

If we cannot accept an order (e.g., stock constraints, pricing/media error, verification/risk checks), we cancel and refund any payment taken. We may limit quantities per household and refuse orders that appear to be for resale.

4. Products, Availability & Descriptions

Images/specs are for guidance; colour/finish/packaging may vary. We supply region-correct models. Availability reflects physical readiness to dispatch and is confirmed on dispatch. We try to be accurate but are not liable for obvious misprints or errors corrected before dispatch.

5. Prices, Taxes & Payment

Prices are shown in GBP and/or EUR (as indicated) and include applicable VAT unless stated. Final duties/taxes/fees are shown at checkout where supported; otherwise local charges may be due on delivery.

Payments are processed securely (PCI DSS) via the providers shown at checkout (e.g., cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay). If a pricing error is discovered, we may cancel and refund before dispatch. Your bank may charge currency conversion/foreign transaction fees.

6. Delivery

Delivery options and estimated timeframes appear at checkout; dates are estimates. Risk in goods passes on delivery; title passes when full payment is received. Inspect items on arrival and notify us promptly of any issues. Cross-border shipments may require customs clearance and can incur local taxes/fees.

7. Your Right to Cancel (Distance Sales)

You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after delivery to cancel (UK: Consumer Contracts Regulations; EU: Consumer Rights Directive). Notify us within the period and return goods within 14 days of cancellation.

We refund the item price and the standard outbound delivery cost (if paid) within 14 calendar days of either (a) receiving the goods back or (b) you providing proof of returnwhichever is earlier. You cover return costs unless agreed otherwise. We may deduct for diminished value from handling beyond what’s necessary to assess the goods. If you chose an expedited option (e.g., express/next-day), we refund only the standard outbound delivery cost.

Exclusions: hygiene-sealed goods once unsealed; personalised/made-to-order items; perishables; digital content after download/streaming begins with your express consent acknowledging loss of the right to cancel; services fully performed with your consent.

8. Legal Guarantee & Faulty Goods

UK: Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies (30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods; thereafter repair/replacement first, otherwise price reduction/refund). For the first 6 months, faults are presumed present at delivery unless we prove otherwise.

EU/EEA: Minimum 2-year legal guarantee of conformity; remedies include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination, as applicable. These rights apply independently of any manufacturer warranty.

9. Digital Content & Digital Services

For EU/EEA consumers we ensure conformity and provide updates/remedies as required by law for the stated period or as otherwise necessary to maintain conformity.

10. Returns Process

Start a return by emailing returns@remotebox.co.uk with your order number and reason. Please obtain a return reference (RMA) and the correct return address before sending — returns without an RMA will still be processed but may be delayed. Pack items securely and include all accessories. Refunds go to the original payment method. We may withhold a refund until we receive the goods or adequate evidence of return.

11. Promotions, Vouchers & Gift Cards

Promotions are time-limited and subject to specific terms. Unless stated, discounts can’t be combined and don’t apply to delivery charges. Vouchers/gift cards are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and must be used before expiry.

12. WEEE & Recycling

We support responsible recycling under UK/EU WEEE rules. See our FAQ for disposal options available for your location and product type.

13. Export Controls & Safety

Products may be subject to export controls and end-use restrictions. Lithium batteries and similar items must be transported and used in accordance with applicable regulations and manufacturer guidance.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits/excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, losses not caused by our breach, or business losses. We supply goods for domestic/private use only.

15. Events Outside Our Control

We’re not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., strikes, carrier failures, extreme weather). We’ll notify you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.

16. Privacy (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

Your data is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law. By ordering, you agree we may process your information to fulfil your order, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

17. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve issues quickly — contact support@remotebox.co.uk (or legal@remotebox.co.uk for formal complaints).

UK: you may seek advice from Trading Standards or use an approved ADR body (see Trading Standards resources).

EU/EEA: for out-of-court options and consumer redress contacts, see the European Commission’s guidance on resolving consumer complaints (national ADR bodies by country). Note: the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you reside in the EU/EEA, you may bring proceedings in your local courts and continue to benefit from your mandatory consumer protections.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
